backup stuck at 0%

hello, so recently i've been trying to backup my chats so nothing is lost as i got a new phone. i had a previous backup before this and it didn't include any KB or GB or wtv, but then the app said it will backup all 3.46GB and i cant tell if these are pics and vids orr?? and why is it stuck at 0%? how can i even make it move? and if i jus transfer my whatsapp to my new phone without processing this, will i lose anything? pls help
